In line with the Council-approved timeline for re-opening, the following will be effective May 15th:  
Parks & Recreation/Special Events
Pavilions and Rentals open, Outdoor bathrooms and portapotties open and sanitized regularly, Special Events may resume with physical distancing of 6 feet or more, Splash Pads open May 22nd.
Golf Course
Clubhouse open with plexiglass separator; 2 people per cart, carts sanitized before and after use, flags stay in, protectors in cups, tournaments allowed as long as no groups gather in one location at one time, outdoor bathrooms open and sanitized regularly, no handshakes or high-fives, continue physical distancing of 6 feet or more.
Bouse Sports Complex
League games and Tournament games can begin with restrictions, dugouts sanitized before and after each game, outdoor bathrooms open and sanitized regularly, no handshakes or high-fives, continue physical distancing of 6 feet or more.  

APRIL 30, 2020 UPDATE

May 1st - Parks, Trails, Open Spaces, Playgrounds, and Play Equipment Open;
Pavilions and Rentals Closed, Outdoor Bathrooms & Portapotties Closed;
No Special Events.
Stay 6 feet apart, practice safe social distancing.

Golf Course - Re-open May 1, clubhouse closed except for payments, using social distancing and implementing plexiglass separator; 1 person per cart, sanitizing carts before and after use, flags stay in, protectors in cups;outdoor bathrooms closed; no tournaments.
Stay 6 feet apart and practice safe social distancing, no handshaking or high-fiving.

Due to COVID – 19, the following locations will be closed through April 16.  These closures are part of Governor Stitt’s Executive Order issued 24 March and goes into effect midnight 25 March.

The Choctaw Creek Golf Course—With the exception of the Country Club Restaurant which will still be open for take-out and delivery service.

All Playgrounds in Choctaw—With the exception that all city parks and trails are still open to the public for use. When using the trails and parks please adhere to the current CDC guidelines for social distancing and groups of 10 or less and proper hand-washing.


Choctaw is home to several parks with space for sports programs, outdoor recreation, group events and playgrounds for families to enjoy an afternoon outing. All parks provide benches and picnic tables, available on a first-come basis for your convenience. 

Rent a Pavilion

The Pavilions at Choctaw Creek Park, Ten Acre Lake, and Optimist Park are available to rent for large gatherings and special events.

Electricity

Electricity is only available at the mid-sized and large pavilions at Choctaw Creek Park.

Restrooms

Choctaw Creek Park has restroom facilities available as well as port-a-potties. Ten Acre Lake has no water available but does have port-a-potties on site.

Reservations & Forms

Pavilions are not considered reserved until the rental fees and applicable deposits have been paid. Reservation Forms can be completed and returned to City Hall.
