Choctaw is proud to boast that we are the oldest chartered city in the State of Oklahoma. Come help us celebrate the Oklahoma Land Run of April 22, 1889, when the eastern boundary of that run was the Indian Meridian. Today it is known as Indian Meridian Road, which runs north and south through Choctaw.
Planned activities include the following and more:
Historical Figure Presentations
Historical Cooking Presentations
Old Fashioned Games, and more!

The 2017 festival drew over 2,000 students and 1,000 spectators and was very successful. Students had a lot of fun with the reenactments and hands-on experiences. We hope that you schedule a field trip for your family or students to let them experience this unique living history festival. Step back in history and enjoy!
