Choctaw Creek Park

Choctaw Creek Park, formerly known as John Miskelly State Park, has a rich history dating back to its establishment by the state in 1977. Covering a total of 165 acres, this park features approximately 80 acres of serene, wooded areas and a network of meandering trails. Initially, the park was named in honor of the late John Miskelly, a dedicated state representative who played a pivotal role in its creation. In 1993 the state turned the park over to the city of Choctaw and shortly thereafter the park was renamed Choctaw Creek Park.
