Key Responsibilities
Under the direction of the City Treasurer, the Finance Department performs a range of vital tasks, including:
Serving as the City’s Investment Officer
Managing the City’s cash flow and cash management program
Assisting department heads with budget planning and oversight
Handling accounts payable processes
Providing monthly financial reports to the City Manager and City Council
Verifying all outgoing deposits and ensuring accuracy
Generating purchase orders for necessary City purchases
Coordinating both internal and external audits
Overseeing and documenting all transactions across City funds
