Old Timers' Day Festival Joins Homecoming for 2025!

In 2024, the City of Choctaw brought back the Old Timers' Day Festival on August 24th at Choctaw Creek Park. If you braved the heat to attend the festival or parade—thank you! The August heat was brutal! This event has been a long-standing tradition in our community, historically held in August to commemorate when Choctaw became a city.

For 2025, we’re making a big change—we’re moving the celebration to a cooler time of year! After considering September dates, we found that many surrounding communities host their Founder’s Day events then, plus the State Fair takes place that month.

So, we’ve decided to combine the city's founding celebration with Choctaw High School’s Football Homecoming for a brand-new Old Timers’ Day Homecoming event! Stay tuned for more details—this is going to be an incredible way to celebrate our city’s history and community pride together!
