Along Highway 62, you'll find the Silhouette Sculpture Garden. This unique outdoor art gallery showcases a collection of metal sculptures that create an enchanting visual experience for visitors.

For decades, Jeannie Abts, former mayor and city councilwoman, and her husband Herb, dedicated themselves to enhancing Choctaw's beauty through landscaping endeavors. Their efforts transformed the once "brush heap" area between the railroad tracks and 23rd Street into the enchanting Historical Sculptures Gardens. These gardens feature life-sized replicas depicting the Land Run of 1889, capturing scenes such as a man firing a gun to commence the Run, riders, wagons, cattlemen herding cows, and farmers tending to a vegetable garden, symbolizing the city's historical beginnings. The Abts diligently nurtured the gardens for years, investing countless hours in planting hundreds of plants in the areas surrounding the sculptures. Located in Choctaw proper, the Historical Sculptures Gardens significantly elevate the area's aesthetic appeal, warmly welcoming all who pass through 23rd Street
