START NEW SERVICE
New residents or businesses can apply for services online or in person at City Hall (2500 N. Choctaw Rd).
Services requested by 11 AM Monday-Thursday will be activated the same day by 4 PM, and requests made by 10 AM Friday will be completed by 11 AM.
Requests made after these times will be activated the next business day between 1 PM - 4 PM.
Requirements:
One government-issued ID
A lease, rental agreement, or homeownership papers
A completed Utility Contract (available on mychoctaw.org or at City Hall)

Important: Residents must be home when services are started. If not, water will remain off, and customers must contact City Hall to schedule another service, which will be completed the next business day.

TO STOP SERVICE
When moving out or selling your home, complete a Request to Disconnect form online using the provided link below.
Suspension Requests and changes must be submitted in writing at least 24 hours before the requested date. Requests are processed between 1:30 PM and 3:00 PM on business days; weekend and holiday requests will be completed the next business day.
Poly carts must be left at the curb for pickup and will be returned within 7-10 business days after the suspension ends. Failure to set carts out will result in monthly sanitation fees during the suspension period. In disputes, the written record on file will determine the official suspension date, and account holders are responsible for charges.
Requests to end a suspension must be submitted in writing via email or in person at City Hall.
ADDITIONAL CARTS
If you need to add any additional polycarts to your trash service, please visit City Hall and pay the deposit for the additional cart(s). Each additional cart requires a deposit of $15.00 at time of request. This can be done at any time you determine you need more carts.
You should already have one black-lidded cart and one yellow-lidded cart, unless your service address is a new build.
APPLYING BY MAIL
You can print the Utility Contract, fill it out, and return it to us by mail with your payment if you are unable to come in during business hours. Our phone number and fax number are at the top of the Utility Contract. Please call to verify your deposit amount required before mailing it.
Payments
Payments made before 5:30 PM Monday-Thursday and 11:30 AM on Friday will be credited the same business day. Payments received after these times, on weekends, or on city-observed holidays will be credited the next business day.
If payment is made after the cutoff time, water service will be restored the next business day between 1 PM - 4 PM (Monday-Thursday) or 10 AM - 11 AM (Friday). Someone must be present for water to be turned back on.
About your Bill
Utility Meter Readers read utility meters monthly from the 15th to the 15th, uploading the data to the City's utility system.
The Utility Billing Clerk prepares monthly bills, requests re-reads for unusual readings, handles inquiries about the Solid Waste contract, processes payments, and arranges payment plans for customers as needed.
All bills are due on the 15th of each month. Accounts not paid by the 15th will incur a $10 late fee and receive an auto-generated late notice from the billing software. If payment is made after the 15th but before the mailing of the late notice, you may still receive a late/cut-off notice. You can call to verify your account status at any time.

Meter Tampering
Disconnect and Cutoff services that are turned on by anyone other than a City employee will incur a $500 meter tampering fee.
