Join us during the Park Improvement Updates at the upcoming Recreation Advisory Board meeting to discuss applying for a grant from the Oklahoma Tourism and Recreation Department’s Recreational Trails Program.
Purpose:
Extend the walking trail at 10 Acre Lake Park into Bouse Park.
Why Your Input Matters:
Public comments collected during the meeting will be included in the grant proposal, as required.

🚧 Update: Choctaw Road Railroad Crossing Repair Delayed 🚧
The Arkansas-Oklahoma Railroad has notified the City that the materials needed to repair the surface and rail at the Choctaw Road crossing will not be available until after the new year. As a result, this project has been delayed.
When the project is rescheduled, we will provide advance notice so you can plan alternative routes. Thank you for your patience and understanding!

🚧 Notice: Choctaw Road Closure 🚧
Choctaw Road will be closed at the railroad tracks starting at 7:00 AM on December 11th and will remain closed through Friday, December 13th. This closure is necessary for the Arkansas-Oklahoma Railroad crew to repair the surface and rail at the crossing.
Please plan your travel accordingly and use alternate routes during this period. Thank you for your patience and understanding!

🌟🏆 Choctaw Wins 1st Place in the Communities Primed for a Change category! 🏆🌟
On Friday, November 22nd, the City of Choctaw was honored at the Environmental Excellence Celebration, held at the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum. We proudly received the 1st place award ($1000) for the Communities Primed for a Change category as part of the Paint Oklahoma Beautiful Grant!
In just 30 days, our incredible team completed painting projects at:
City Hall
The Police Department and PD Garage
Development Services Building
Senior Center
A special shout-out to staff members Jerry Hand and Colbert Gordon! Not only did they paint all the buildings, but they also took the time to repair parts of the Senior Center before painting, showing their dedication and care for our community.
